Marilyn for Valentine’s Day – A Candle from Juliette Has a Gun

“Some Like It Hot” and some like it smokin’ hot. I like it smokin’ hot! It’s Valentine’s Day, beautiful, so it’s the perfect time to celebrate one woman who defined smokin’ hot like nobody else…Marilyn Monroe.  Juliette Has a Gun created a scented candle, Marilyn, that will help you kick off your own personal celebration of the star. I can’t say anything about Marilyn Monroe that hasn’t already been said. But, to me, she is a perfect image for Valentine’s Day. She inspires femininity and sensuality. By definition, sensuality is the condition of being pleasing or fulfilling to the senses. Marilyn Monroe was exactly that. I’ve never seen a picture of her that I didn’t stare at in awe. The image of Marilyn inspires me to put on my sexiest dress, highest heels, hot red lipstick and celebrate being a woman. Very fitting for Valentine’s Day! Made in France, Juliette Has a Gun made this candle smell like what I’d imagine Marilyn Monroe’s bedroom may have smelled like. I know that sounds silly but once you smell it, I think you’ll agree. Juliette Has a Gun describes this scent as having “powdery lipstick notes” and I completely agree with that description. When I smell the Marilyn candle, it evokes images of a vintage cosmetic bag, red lipstick, a face puff that’s loaded with powder, sexy stockings, and high heels kicked off next to the bed. It’s a very unique smell. The Marilyn candle would make a great and fun gift. The candle itself is very pretty!
