Celebrity Skin Interview: Emmanuelle Vaugier

Along with completing her third season on “CSI: NY“ as Detective Jessica Angell, Emmanuelle will be reprising her role as Mia on “Two and a Half Men” with Charlie Sheen on the upcoming season of the award winning comedy, airing in the fall.

Emmanuelle loves her skincare products, knows what works for her and has fabulous taste. Most important, she really knows how to pamper herself. This Maxim cover girl is sharing her skincare routine and favorites with us. Enjoy!

What is your skin care routine?

In the morning when I wake up, before I go to the gym, I cleanse with Murad Redness Therapy Cleanser, and then moisturize with Murad Redness Therapy 15 SPF Moisturizer. After the gym, when I‘m getting ready for my day, I cleanse with Murad, then use the Murad Redness Soothing Serum before I apply Murad Age Defying Moisturizer. After I’ve let that soak in, I use DDF 30SPF Sunscreen. In the evening before bed, I cleanse and remove my make up, and reapply moisturizer. If I’m feeling a little dehydrated, I‘ll add a little extra eye cream. I like to use VI Derm. It’s not greasy and absorbs really well.

Favorite Products?

As well as the products I’ve already mentioned, which are some of my favorites…I have many others. I love using Dermalogica SPF 15 Sheer Tint Moisturizer in medium. It gives me moisture as well as evening out my skin tone, and a little extra SPF never hurts. Dermalogica SPF 30 Solar Defense is great to mix into your favorite moisturizer or sunscreen it if doesn’t already have some. It’s light and sits well with my makeup. I love Dermalogica Multivitamin Power Firm for around the eyes.

What’s in your purse?

I always carry Jao Hand Sanitzer. It smells amazing and doesn’t dry out my skin. Dermalogica SPF 15 Lip Balm, as well as the Solar Defense SPF 30 to reapply during the day. Sometimes I’ll carry a little eye cream to freshen up so my skin doesn’t look dry. Vi Derm Eye Cream usually does the trick and it comes in a small tube that’s easy to carry around.

How do you pamper your skin?

I really like doing a light mask and getting into my steam room and letting it do it’s thing! I alternate between Dermalogica Mulitvitamin Power Recovery Masque and Elemis Aromapure Herbal Lavender Repair Mask.

Any product or products that makes you feel especially spoiled rotten?

I love all Origins body sugar scrubs. The different scents are wonderful and they make my skin feel so soft!

Which product is your current “must have”?

The Murad Redness Therapy line. I never used to have sensitive skin, and now I do. This line is one of the few things that will calm the redness and itchiness and sooth and moisturize my skin.

Favorite spa?

I love the Burke Williams, Sunset Blvd. location. It’s very cozy and I always feel so peaceful when I’m there.

Favorite spa treatment?

I love getting facials. My skin glows when I leave and that makes me very happy!

Favorite tip/advice for skincare?

Drink lots of water. I always notice a difference with my skin when I’m well hydrated…makeup sits better, etc. Always wear sunscreen, even when it’s cloudy out. And wear a hat if you’re going to be sitting out in the sun. You can always use a bronzer to give yourself a bit of that sun kissed look.
