Summer’s here….grab your sunscreen! I recently went away for the weekend with my sweetheart and we tried several different kinds of sunblock for our pool time together. Sunscreen is always a must, but when you’re spending hours upon hours poolside in Las Vegas…sunscreen becomes the most important item during your day. As I’ve said before, my biggest complaint with most sunscreens is that I don’t like that common SPF scent. The biggest plus for me about this product? The Korres Sweet Orange Sprayable Sunscreen smells better than any sunscreen I have ever tried. This is my new favorite sunscreen. It has medium protection, SPF 25, and it’s not icky greasy. This sunscreen milk is made for the face and body and I absolutely love that it’s a spray. It makes the application process so much easier and less messy. And, on a side note, I recommend that you always take the time to help your poolside partner put his/her sunscreen on. Yes, we all need help getting our backs covered with sunscreen, but on a good day…we can use a little help with our fronts as well. There are no rules with sunscreen! One must indulge and enjoy whenever possible. Who says that applying sunscreen can’t be sexy? It most certainly can be!
Back to my review…the Korres Sweet Orange Sunscreen contains shea butter and aloe, among other ingredients, that your skin will want to drink up. I highly recommend checking out this product. I love it, my sweetheart loves it, and you will love it too. Enjoy your time in the sun!

My Current Makeup “Must Have’s”

It’s always difficult to pick favorites, because I have so many. But, I’ve selected a few items from my makeup bag that have been at the top of my list lately. I love trying new products. Here’s the deal…when you really go for it and splurge on great products, it makes such a big difference. Do the research, check out what’s available. Shake up your makeup routine! It’s always fun to add something new to your makeup collection and there are so many fabulous products to choose from. Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick: This shimmering powder is so beautiful, I can’t explain it. I get so excited every time I open up this compact. I’m absolutely in makeup heaven with the Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick. I’m using the “Pink Quartz” Shimmer Brick and it’s become my new favorite powder. It makes my skin glow. It’s meant to be used after blush, but I also use it without blush and I really like that look as well. I dust my cheekbones with it and even my eyelids. It’s available in six different shades. Highly recommend! I love it, I love it, I love it! $38.00

Aveda Mosscara: In my interview with Alicia Silverstone she mentioned that she loves Aveda’s Mosscara. So, I had to check it out. I love this mascara! My color of choice is “Black Forest” and I love the way it makes my lashes look. It goes on very smooth and has ingredients that condition the lashes. It’s fragrance-free, there’s no smudging, and I’ve noticed that it really makes my lashes look thicker. Check it out! $16.00

Clinique Instant Lift For Brows: I am absolutely loving this brown pencil. It’s a two-in-one, with a creamy brown pencil on one end and a creamy pearlized highlighter on the other end. After I fill in my brows, I apply the highlighter right underneath my brows and it not only gives the look of a little lift but it catches the light beautifully. Sometimes, when I want that extra pop around my eyes, I lightly dab the highlighter on the inner corner of my eyes. I love that look! Highly recommend. $15.00

Korres Lip Butter: I’ve been keeping Korres Lip Butter in my purse lately. I love applying it throughout the day. Korres is such an amazing line and not only do I love their skin care products but I’m becoming a really big fan of their makeup as well. I use the “Jasmine” when I want a more subtle color and I use the “Pomegranate” when I want a little more pop of color. The Lip Butter contains shea butter and it’s very moisturizing. It feels great on my lips. You can also apply the Lip Butter to your cheeks for a natural tint. Plus, it’s petro-chemical free. $9.00

Korres Yogurt Moisturizing Mask and Korres Yogurt Moisturizing Cream

Tonight, I’ve got a date with Korres. I just got out of a hot shower and I’m feeling very relaxed. Late night showers are the best. Mmmm…good! I’m desperately in need of some extra hydration tonight. I had a facial a couple of days ago that left my skin really dry. I’ve been battling several annoying little dry patches on my face since that facial. So, I’ve decided to turn to Korres for some extra moisture this evening. I’ve already applied the Korres Yogurt Moisturizing Mask, and I really like the way it smells. It’s supposed to “instantly” relieve dry skin areas. I will see if it does that for me in another 5 minutes. (10 minutes total) I enjoyed the application process for this mask. It’s very creamy and spreads over the face with ease. Again, it really smells great! Time to rinse it off…

My skin looks and feels so much better! My dry patches finally accepted moisture, after days of using some of my favorite moisturizers with little to no results on my dry patches. My skin is soft and soothed. Loving the Yogurt Mask. Great results!

I followed the Korres Yogurt Mask with the Korres Yogurt Moisturizing Cream. The Yogurt Moisturizing Cream is very hydrating but it’s oil-free, so it’s not heavy at all. It moisturizes without being greasy. It absorbs well and it’s a great compliment to the Yogurt Mask. I also treated my neck and decollete to the Moisturizing Cream. It’s lovely! Goodbye dry patches! Don’t ya just love a date that doesn’t disappoint? Korres was a prefect choice for my evening.

Korres Pomegranate Deep Cleansing Scrub

I got home this afternoon, after a full day of shooting a film I’m working on, and the first thing I wanted to do was clean my face. I’m not a big fan of layers upon layers of makeup but when you work in front of a camera…it’s par for the course. As an actress, you start your work day with getting your makeup done and by the end of the day, you’ve had so many “touch ups” and have been powdered so many times that your face is just begging for a good scrub. I have to say…no complaints here! I love what I do for a living. I’m happiest when I’m on a set, working. But, it certainly feels extra satisfying to take ALL of that makeup off after a long day of work. So, when I got home this afternoon, I ran for my Korres Pomegranate Cleansing Wipes (that I’m still loving) and after I took off my makeup I decided to try the Pomegranate Deep Cleansing Scrub for the first time. It’s a creamy scrub with fine olive stone grains to really get the job done. I definitely felt like it did it’s job in getting the many layers of makeup off of my face. It left my skin feeling very clean and very soft. I think the most satisfying part for me, aside from having a clean face, was how soft my skin felt. Very smooth! The Pomegranate Deep Cleansing Scrub contains calendula extract which is very soothing and pomegranate extract which rejuvenates the skin. It has 86% natural content and is made without mineral oil, silicone, propylene glycol and contains no parabens. It was a lovely product choice after a lovely day.

Korres Pomegranate Cleansing Wipes

Korres has made the most amazing make-up removing wipes. The pomegranate extract in them smells fantastic and fresh. Ahh!!! They are gentle, feel great on my skin, tighten my pores, and do an excellent job of removing all make-up. They even do a great job of removing stubborn mascara and thick eyeliner. These cleansing wipes are oil free, so they leave your skin feeling very clean and refreshed. They contain vitamin E, which is always a plus and they also help balance skin hydration. They don’t dry my skin out at all like other cleansing wipes have in the past. And they are very soft. Korres was established out of Greece’s oldest homeopathic pharmacy. If you’re interested in natural skincare, Korres is definitely a line worth looking into. And if you’re looking for a great way to take off your make-up, I recommend trying the Pomegranate Cleansing Wipes. I actually look forward to taking off my make-up with these. Happy skincare!
