I have to admit, I was almost convinced that I wouldn’t love this product. I had never tried a cleansing oil before and thought it might just leave an oily residue on my face and not leave my skin feeling thoroughly cleansed. I was completely wrong! After trying and loving the Bobbi Brown Extra Face Oil (previously reviewed) I decided to give the Bobbi Brown Cleansing Oil a try. It is such a wonderful product. As far as cleansing goes, it definitely gets the job done. But it also leaves my skin feeling really hydrated. It’s been a perfect cleanser when my skin is feeling a little dry. It contains olive and jojoba oils that condition the skin and it also contains ginger root extract for soothing the skin. Plus, it also does a great job of removing makeup. The Bobbi Brown Cleansing Oil has a very light scent that’s fabulous. I really like it. It’s a very subtle and calming scent. When I cleanse my face with this and follow it with the Bobbie Brown Extra Face Oil, I’m in skin care heaven. Soft, hydrated and relaxed! Bobbi Brown has changed my thinking when it comes to face oils.

My Current Makeup “Must Have’s”

It’s always difficult to pick favorites, because I have so many. But, I’ve selected a few items from my makeup bag that have been at the top of my list lately. I love trying new products. Here’s the deal…when you really go for it and splurge on great products, it makes such a big difference. Do the research, check out what’s available. Shake up your makeup routine! It’s always fun to add something new to your makeup collection and there are so many fabulous products to choose from. Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick: This shimmering powder is so beautiful, I can’t explain it. I get so excited every time I open up this compact. I’m absolutely in makeup heaven with the Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick. I’m using the “Pink Quartz” Shimmer Brick and it’s become my new favorite powder. It makes my skin glow. It’s meant to be used after blush, but I also use it without blush and I really like that look as well. I dust my cheekbones with it and even my eyelids. It’s available in six different shades. Highly recommend! I love it, I love it, I love it! $38.00

Aveda Mosscara: In my interview with Alicia Silverstone she mentioned that she loves Aveda’s Mosscara. So, I had to check it out. I love this mascara! My color of choice is “Black Forest” and I love the way it makes my lashes look. It goes on very smooth and has ingredients that condition the lashes. It’s fragrance-free, there’s no smudging, and I’ve noticed that it really makes my lashes look thicker. Check it out! $16.00

Clinique Instant Lift For Brows: I am absolutely loving this brown pencil. It’s a two-in-one, with a creamy brown pencil on one end and a creamy pearlized highlighter on the other end. After I fill in my brows, I apply the highlighter right underneath my brows and it not only gives the look of a little lift but it catches the light beautifully. Sometimes, when I want that extra pop around my eyes, I lightly dab the highlighter on the inner corner of my eyes. I love that look! Highly recommend. $15.00

Korres Lip Butter: I’ve been keeping Korres Lip Butter in my purse lately. I love applying it throughout the day. Korres is such an amazing line and not only do I love their skin care products but I’m becoming a really big fan of their makeup as well. I use the “Jasmine” when I want a more subtle color and I use the “Pomegranate” when I want a little more pop of color. The Lip Butter contains shea butter and it’s very moisturizing. It feels great on my lips. You can also apply the Lip Butter to your cheeks for a natural tint. Plus, it’s petro-chemical free. $9.00

There are so many skin care and makeup lines that are offering amazing gifts sets this holiday season. It’s been difficult to pick my favorites, but I’ve made a short list of gifts that I love and am recommending. Tis the season to pamper ourselves and each other with skin care goodies!

Fresh: For the most beautiful gift and amazing smelling, all around fabulous, candles…Fresh Candle Trio. I want everyone I know to have this gift set for the holiday season. It’s so lovely. Bobbi Brown Extra Face Oil

Darling…yes, I have to begin with the word “darling“. Darling, this Face Oil from Bobbi Brown is absolutely magnifique. I was skeptical trying a face oil, even though I’m crazy about the Bobbi Brown Extra Soothing Balm, previously reviewed, and from the same line of products. I had never used any kind of a face oil before this one. Sure, I’ve used many products that contained essential oils but never just a “face oil”, and I just thought it would be one big greasy mess. So wrong! It’s so completely lovely. Bobbi Brown Extra Face Oil is fairly light-weight and absorbs really well. It’s beyond perfect for extra dry days, but I also really it love for the days when I’m just wanting to give my skin a little extra pampering with some quality moisture. Plus, I must admit, sometimes I just use it because I adore the scent. I LOVE the smell of this oil. It’s so fantastic! Lavender, neroli and sandalwood! I use it before bed and I just fall into my pillow so happy to have that scent with me. Hello aromatherapy! I love it. You have to smell the Extra Face Oil. It’s lightly scented, but so soothing and perfect. This product is simply divine. It truly is!

Bobbi Brown Beach Body Lotion

If you’re looking for a lotion of the summer, this is the product for you. First of all, Beach smells like…well…exactly that! The very best of the beach! From the moment I smell this lotion, I find myself not only wanting to get back to the beach, but reflecting on all of the things that are beach related. The sand, the ocean, suntan lotion, bathing suits and volleyballs. It really brings me there! It’s a lightweight lotion that is very soothing and hydrating. It contains aloe vera, jojoba and sunflower oils. And I absolutely love the simple and sophisticated packaging, which looks great on my bathroom counter. Bobbi Brown Extra Soothing Balm.

This balm is exquisite. It’s fantastic for areas that need extra hydration and can be used just about anywhere. It’s heaven for dry lips. A little definitely goes a very long way with this rich balm. It’s extremely soft and smells like the geranium and rosemary oils that it’s enhanced with. Very soothing indeed.

Product info: Can also be applied over make-up to give cheeks a healthy glow.
